About

I am deep down the rabbit hole of holistic healing! My journey unfolds in its own unique way, allowing me to provide better support for my clients and students. This isn’t just my job- it’s my path.

I strongly believe that our bodies and psyches KNOW how to heal.

I’m working on releasing tension held in my body from childhood wounding, cultural and ancestral programming, outdated coping mechanisms, and suppressed emotions so healing can emerge.

I’m calling in pure life-force energy from Reiki, from Nature, from my heart center.

I’m reprogramming my thought patterns and uncovering my innate wisdom, worthiness, and wellness.

I’m not just a provider of healing services, I am a living, breathing example of how we can alchemize trauma and stuckness and step into the fullness of purpose and power.

My learning comes from the experiences of meeting my challenges with courage, curiosity, and compassion just as much as it does from classes and workshops. As I continue to grow and expand, my work follows.

Currently, I’m fascinated with mitochondrial health, perimenopause, rewriting limiting beliefs, and nervous system regulation. It’s amazing to me all the little things I can do for myself every day to enhance my health. Greeting the dawn outside to support my circadian rhythms, making my own sauerkraut for gut health, turning off all the screens well before bedtime, and soothing breathing exercises all impact my wellness. The rewards are well worth the effort and blend into my daily life.

You’ll find crystals next to my laptop, my dream journal and a sci-fi novel next to books about anatomy and physiology. There’s a tube of arnica gel next to my TV remote and my aromatherapy diffuser lives in my kitchen so I can balance my hormones while I cook.

Whenever possible, I spend time reading books via Zoom with my niece and nephews who live in Michigan. I’ve mastered a variety of voices that make them giggle, as I often confuse which voice goes with which character.

I enjoy walking in the woods with a friend and splashing paint on paper for fun even though I don’t know what I’m doing. I spend too much money on chocolate and essential oils and make it up by shopping at thrift stores. Cultivating balance and pleasure is part of my healthy aging plan.

I have my feet planted firmly on this earth, even while my spirit soars with the stars. I’m just a regular person who goes out of her way to maximize her chances of experiencing health, happiness, and creativity.

It wasn’t always this way. As a child, I was completely shut down emotionally. Chronic back pain emerged during adolescence, sending me further into isolation, depression, anxiety, and fatigue. I didn’t have the words for it then, but I had experienced complex trauma, and as a result was dissociated. My constant fight/flight/freeze/fawn responses left me tense, fearful, and in varying degrees of physical and emotional pain.

In college, I discovered yoga. This was the beginning of my spiritual evolution and journey of self-empowerment. While medical doctors had failed me big time, finally I found a way that I could help myself.

Fast forward to 2002, a series of synchronistic interventions led me to massage school in Santa Fe, NM. What a blessing that was! I had an amazing education in the healing arts that was eclectic and thorough.

One of my classmates suggested I attend a Reiki workshop that fall. I’d never heard of Reiki and had no clue what to expect, but something inside nudged me to attend. My life’s trajectory shifted radically that weekend.

I now had a tool to address the emotional pain, cultural/familial/societal conditioning, spiritual disconnection, and limiting beliefs that underlaid my physical discomfort. In one way or another, I’ve used Reiki to support myself every day since then. I think I would be bedridden or addicted to pain meds without it.

Ever since, I’ve been sharing the gifts of massage and Reiki with all sorts of people. I have a knack for meeting my clients and students where they are. We can talk about body mechanics, stress, attachment disorders, chakras, intentions, and so much more. If you want to go full woo-woo, I’m there. If you want to stay 100% in the practical realm, I can do that too. There’s something for everyone in this work.

The techniques I use (compassionate listening, focused intention setting, Reiki energy healing, and gentle, nurturing massage) can be applied to almost any goal. You’ll find more information about the services I offer here.
